I just wanted to get a thread started early. A few suggestions.

1. Sags is staying. He found out he wouldn't be 1st round and wisely stayed to get another great year of coaching from the best coaches in the business. He is a true Mountaineer! Now we can set our sights on the ever elusive National Championship so long as Higgins and the refs let us play West Virginia basketball.

2. Sags is staying, but it doesn't matter because Thuggins ran off Teddy Buckets and doesn't know how to coach today's kids. We will lose again because he is stubborn and mean.

3. Sags left. He is a fool. One more year under Huggy & Co. and he could really have been one of the first kids picked. Remember how Huggy molded Joe Alexander? He is not a true Mountaineer! Oh and his mid range jumper is garbage.

4. Sags left. He is wise to go because Huggins is a mean old man who yells too much and is so stubborn he will find a way to lose games he should win. This way he doesn't get injured and he can get away from the constant abuse. Good luck Sags. You escaped in the nick of time.

Please feel free to add on to these standard posts or double the fun by creating a whole new post.

5. Sags stays and he, Esa and the new guys turn WVU into an offensive juggernaut. However, with the departure of JC, Dax and T Buckets, the defense goes to Hell in a hand basket and all of our opponents become offensive juggernauts too. Shootout every night. Huggs strokes out mid-season. Or some variation of this scenario.

6. Sags stays in the draft and is selected late in the 2nd round, does not make an NBA team and ends up rooming overseas with Devin Williams never to be heard from again. The negative fans call him an idiot while the positive thinkers cry and feel bad for him since he only left to get whatever paycheck he could in order to support his family.

7. UNC, Vill, Duke, KU, UK, Syr, UCONN, et. al. all are caught in the shoe scandal but WVU is squeaky clean; penalties for the dirty start next season. Some schools receive a 5 year ban while others get the death penalty (read that as UNC). WVU wins the national title 4 of 5 years, recruiting goes through the roof as Huggs continues to run a clean program. Huggs roll on titles rivals the record of Wooden and he remains HC until he is 80. Oh yeah, and Sags is back to enjoy it before going in the draft as a lottery pick.

8. Sags stays but is relegated to coming off the bench after Logan Routt, pissed at being returned to walk-on status, dominates him in fall ball and averages 25 and 15 for the season, then leaves early for the 2019 draft.

9. Nate Adrian comes back and makes Chase Harler grow some luscious locks, instantly turning him into an all conference player. He averages a double double on top of Routts 25 and 15 propelling WVU to an undefeated season and forcing Huggins into getting a tattoo of Nate on his ass cheek based on a preseason bet.

10. Sags doesn't speak good English, so when NBA coaches at the Combine tell him to "hit the road," he thinks they mean he's made a roster and they're playing an away game.

He stays in the draft, loses his college eligibility and is forced to play in the Tajikistan Developmental League for $18 a game plus driving the team bus, all while taking anger management classes on the side -- at his own expense.

Blurk Williams sends his condolences and WVU fans offer thoughts and prayers.

11. Based on the success of the 4 or 5 consecutive national championships as alluded to in #7, Huggins is able to recruit the offspring of former Mountaineer great big men Thomas Kroger, Matt Roadcap, Jeremy Bodkin, Leon Agnew and swing man Mike Yost and forms the most dominating front court in NCAA history. These 5 future lottery picks allow the Mountaineers to lead the nation in points, rebounds, field goal percentage and blocked shots leading the way to 3 more national championships.

Sags, I want to say something before this whole thing gets out of control. In 1967, in the hot desert sun, a woman gave birth to a boy in the back of old pick up. She left the boy at a local church. The father at the church didn’t like children, but he knew that being a disciple of the bible he couldn’t possibly not take the small kid. Instead he ended up taking out his frustration on the boy. At the age of three, the boy was forced to use the toilet. Let me tell you the little boy fell into his own pile of poop more than once.

By the age of 5, the boy the boy was reading the bible and chopping wood for the fire. Despite the father’s harsh character, the boy loved him and thought of him as his true father. By the age of seven the boy ran away. He survived four days in the desert by eating cactus and scorpions. He was finally found by a drug cartel boss, who took the boy in. Mr. Sanchez was his name, and he was immediately impressed by the boys intelligence and grown up attitude. Mr. Sanchez provided the boy with an education at a private prep school and a nice house. By the time he was 12 he graduated high school. He was the school’s star running back. The boy was lost, although he liked Mr. Sanchez, he never thought of him as his father. The boy went to India, were he became a spiritual leader of a large tribe of farmers. With his power he turned the several plots that each tribe member had into a large corporate farm and became a millionaire. His assets grew as he bought into other successful start ups. He often got ahead in business with his great leadership abilities, but once in a while he used violence. This was India after all.

By the time he was 22, the boy had all the money he would ever need. So he bought a yacht and traveled the world for 10 years. For 10 years he visited every major port, slept with girls from every country imaginable and tried every drug ever made (by nature and by man). When he was 33, he was walking on a beach in French Guiana when he met a girl of Irish - Native American decent. She bared his seed. It was boy, perfect health. He moved them to Argentina, then London, and eventually Vermont. The man was 45 now, he has seen everything, accomplished everything, and tried everything. He skied down the Swiss Alps, been at the North Pole, swam with hammerheads, everything! Yet he has never done one simple thing that we all take for granted every day, he met his father. He never played catch with his father; he never talked about women with his father. He never would. He died at the age of 63 when his parachute didn’t open when he was base jumping from Dagger Mountain in Washington, USA. Over three thousand people attended his funeral.

Now Sags, I know what you are thinking. How does this story relate to me? Well I want you to go all the way back to the beginning of the story and remember the woman who gave birth to this incredible boy. You are like this woman. You are like this woman because you are being selfish if you leave WVU.

Wrong. Our defense last year was the second worst since Huggins has been here. We had two npoy candidates for defense but still struggled. The team D will be much better. Hopefully with Sags manning the paint. No one with a brain hates him if he leaves, it's just not smart to. While he will never be a lotto pic, he could be a kid to late first rounder. But if he leaves its no were near the poor decision of a devin Williams. Wow still shaking my head over that. All the lenth should help on the defense obviously. I'm sure that'll be in the press since this team is, at least now, lacking on the offensive end and this will help give us easy buckets and we don't shoot it very well. I think the press gives up too many open easy shots. So if we can find a couple capable scorers, id like to see us try a 2/3 like Syracuse. They use it to great affect because of their length and we definitely will have plenty of that. Length will also help on in our man to man D but everything definitely takes a hit without Sags patrolling the paint. I'd like to see him get so more rebounds as well. Matte be a 14 and 10 guy. Even without him tho I don't see how the defense doesn't at least stay as good as last year but offensively is where I'm worried. But I do know what knapper can do and if he can stay healthy and has the green light he could easily be one of outr leading scorers. Love Sags either way. Shows you the rankings after the top ten players or so in a class is a guessing game.

Sags measured in at 6'7.5" with shoes at the NBA draft combine. 6'6.5" without shoes. I doubt that helps his draft prospects

Your like three days behind on reporting on Sags, Sags played well in game where he played 5, had like 4 blocks.
Had him playing 4 today, and did not look good at all.

But I see him as a 4 in the pros, not a 5. Just not big enough. Best of my recollection, last 6'7" guy to play the 5 was Wes Unseld...and that was a while ago.

I’ll just scratch my head if he leaves, and move on. It’ll be another Blurk move. Who knows how the 20 something mind works?

I’ve always felt it is life’s greatest irony, that the decisions you make while young have the greatest impact on your life, yet you are the least prepared you will ever be to make them.

I think problem now, is if he does comeback, he will want to shoot threes, and learn how play o/s more. (Wouldn't really help WVU next year if Sags starts shooting threes, we would really need him as mainly a post player) Which even as a 5 in NBA they do now. You really don't have traditional 5's that sit under foul line anymore in NBA.

When he played 4 yesterday, he tired really fast trying to cover a faster player.

Some people saying he could be like Draymond Green, which I find highly unlikely, Draymond started off college as a good 3 point shooter, and could handle the ball as 3 too.

Konate reminds me of Bruce Irvin....a guy with a ton of upside but a raw talent who hasn't been playing the game all that long and still has a good deal to learn.

If Konate leaves for the NBA now I wish him the best but I think he'll be making a mistake....he still has to work on his game.

Agreed on Sags, TBH he needs to be here all 4 years, but if he'd become a 1st rounder next season, then you have to go.

I think if Devin Ebanks had stayed till Senior year, he'd be in NBA right now.
