Huggs has said it time and time again, until we get our offensive game going, we're gonna be in trouble. I haven't seen this many airballs since I accidentally flipped on a WNBA game.

Re: WIRE- Truck vs. Tall Things This is sad, a freshman, because of injuries, is thrown on the floor...he is our 3rd leading scorer, 2nd leading assist man, and has the 3rd best 3-point percentage and he gets to come on a wvu fan message board and read not one but 2 articles slamming him....more proof we have some of the worst fans in america

Re: WIRE- Truck vs. Tall Things I agree with Adamgod8 100% We are lucky we have Truck and I don't know who could have entered the line-up and contributed quicker than him. He is a freshman and holds his own and frequently excells in big East play. Shame on us.

Additionally, I would hope he's second on the team in assists considering he's the starting point guard. But even then, he only averages 2.7 per game (and 2.4 turnovers per game- which leads the team and is more than all but 12 other players in the Big East), which isn't exactly something to write home about. As for threes, he shoots 34%- which isn't bad- but being 3rd on among the starters isn't terribly impressive considering that the other players he's above aren't guards like he is. C) I gave him a C- in the other column. That's not slamming him. That's about as well as he's played. I closed his section by saying "All this said, see my disclaimers above. The kid has been thrown to the lions in a league with plenty in the pride. No one ever expected him to be in this situation, and he's kept his composure during stretches that would test any 18-year-old. Additionally, WVU would be absolutely screwed without him... Truck's got a way to go, but he's young and he's certainly got the grit to get there." How is that "slamming" him? D) The Wire is just jokes, mang. It doesn't make you a bad fan to laugh at the idiosyncrasies of a player on your favorite team.  |
